Safety First Week – January 22 – 26, 2024
We are excited to kick off the second annual “Safety First Week” at EMWD.
Our inaugural Safety First Week was a success as evidenced in EMWD’s injury and accident reporting rates.
- In 2023, our injury rate decreased, and this is the lowest injury rate we have had in decades.
- Employee safety engagement is on the rise and our reporting of near misses and unsafe conditions increased.
- With safety in mind, if its predictable, its preventable.
Our topics for 2024 are geared around the theme EMWD - Safety Without Compromise.
During this week, there will be a wide range of activities, education, and resources available to reaffirm our commitment to EMWD’s Safety Without Compromise culture, including banners, daily fliers, posters, and prizes.
