Mead Valley Booster Station Replacement

Post - no search

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is seeking funding to help advance the construction of the Mead Valley Booster Station Replacement project, which will provide improved water supply reliability for the economically disadvantaged Mead Valley area in unincorporated Riverside County, CA.

The booster station will replace an aging facility that was constructed in 1964 and is nearing the end of its useful lifespan.

The booster station is being proposed to be constructed on a property that will also be home to a community park. EMWD is coordinating with all project partners on the site acquisition and long-term plans of the site.

The Mead Valley area is experiencing residential, commercial and industrial growth. The new booster station will increase water supply reliability to keep up with the increased demand from development. It will help provide greatly improved water pressure for fire protection in the area.

The project is part of a larger program to increase water and wastewater reliability and capacity in Mead Valley.

PROJECT TIMELINE: Construction scheduled to begin in 2025.
