Project Status: Construction to begin between Quail Bluff and Phoenix Way the week of February 26, 2024 (weather permitting)

The Ridgemoor Road Pipeline project will will replace approximately 4,400 linear feet of 12-inch diameter pipeline on Ridgemoor Road in Menifee.  The project is necessary due to leaks in the past years.

Community Updates

Update April 2024

Tuesday, April 30, crews will begin the process of connecting a newly constructed piece of the pipeline into EMWD’s water system. During this work, customers on Ridgemoor Road between Indus Street and Phoenix Way and customers on Phoenix Way between Ridgemoor Road and Dorado Drive will experience an interruption to their water service. Water service is expected to be unavailable from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. as crews work to safely connect the newly constructed section of pipe.

On Wednesday, May 1, customers on Ridgemoor Road between Indus Street and Phoenix Way will experience brief interruptions to water service as crews work to connect individual service lines that serve homes to the new section of pipeline. These interruptions should not take more than an hour. 

Update February 2024

Construction activities, including excavating in Ridgemoor is set to begin the week of February 19, 2024 (weather permitting).

Work will begin just at Quail Bluff Road and move towards Phoenix Way. 

Those that drop students off at Ridgemoor Elementary School should plan accordingly as there will be traffic impacts.

Update December 2023

SRK Engineering, EMWD’s contractor for this project, will begin pre-construction activities on Ridgemoor Road beginning the first week of January.

Pre-construction activities include potholing for utilities in the road and placing construction information signs at select intersections. This work is expected to continue through February 2024.

Please note that all activity is contingent on weather. In the event of rain, work may not be taking place but will continue once the rain clears.

Update October 4, 2023

EMWD has awarded the construction contract for this project to SRK Engineering. The project is expected to mobilize for construction in early 2024. 

Update December 27, 2022

In recent years, EMWD has experienced several breaks on the water pipeline that runs along Ridgemoor Road between EMWD’s Ridgmoor Road Booster Station and Murrieta Road. These line breaks cause water outages for nearby residents and are an inconvenience to the community. Considering these breaks and the age of the pipeline, EMWD staff has advanced a pipeline replacement project along the stretch of road mentioned above.

The project is expected to reach 100% design in mid 2023 and begin construction in the late 2023 or early 2024.
