Project Description:  The project consists of replacing an existing sewer pipeline that is nearing the end of its useable life by installing approximately 3,500 feet of 24-inch pipe primarily along Kitching Street in Moreno Valley.

Project Location:  The project alignment stretches along Kitching Street from Gentian Avenue to Iris Avenue and along Iris Avenue from Kitching Street to La Fortuna Lane.

New Project Updates Available (as of November 6, 2023)

Project Timeline:  The project is anticipated to begin construction in Fall/Winter 2023 and is set to finish in the Fall of 2024.  Please note that the construction timelines are rough estimates as the industry continues to work through supply chain issues. 

Project Purpose:  The project will increase sewer capacity and reliability to accommodate growth in the City of Moreno Valley.

Project Update (as of November 6, 2023):

• The contractor is set to mobilize and begin pre-construction activities the week of November 13, 2023.
• In the coming weeks, the contractor will begin pipeline installation beginning on Iris Avenue and work their way towards Kitching Street.
