EMWD to Host Free Water Fest on October 5

Perris, CA (September 24, 2019) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is hosting a free, family-friendly event – WaterFest – at its Perris headquarters on October 5, 2019.

The event runs from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at EMWD’s offices, located at 2270 Trumble Road, Perris, CA.

Families are encouraged to come out and learn about EMWD’s wide range of water, recycled water and wastewater services. The event will also offer fun, interactive programs that provide a better understanding of how EMWD is working on behalf of its customers and an integral part of its communities.

Join us for a Water Fest. Saturday, October 5, 2019. 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 2270 Trumble Road in Perris, CA.A guided tour of EMWD’s water-wise demonstration garden will take place at 9:30 a.m. and children may partake in the Touch a Truck event, where they will see, up close, EMWD’s fleet vehicles that help maintain a healthy network of pipes, storage tanks and other infrastructure.

There will also be information about the role recycled water plays in our community – including on local farms that grow produce. There will be interactive lessons on what happens after you flush and how to be Sewer Smart.
