EMWD is conducting a lead and copper study throughout our service area in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Previous studies indicated that EMWD customers were not at risk, however, the California State Department of Health Services and United States Environmental Protection Agency require that lead and copper testing be performed every three years, preferably at the same homes.

According to our records, your residence was included in a prior sampling set for tap water testing conducted by EMWD. We are again asking for your assistance to help determine if customers are being exposed to lead from soldering materials in their copper pipes.

Upon successfully completing the study, you will receive a $25.00 gift card. A copy of our final report will be sent to you at the conclusion of the study.
