Active construction projects in Hemet.

State Street Pipeline Replacement Project

This project will consist of the replacement of approximately 3,000 feet of existing 20-inch steel pipeline which has been encroached upon in multiple areas and is nearing the end of its useful life. Project Location: Along State Street between Stetson Avenue and Chambers Street in Hemet, CA.

Anticipated Project Start: Spring 2025

San Jacinto Valley Raw Water Pipeline Phase I

The San Jacinto Valley Raw Water Pipeline Phase I will begin in early 2022 and be completed in late 2022. This project will involve the construction of 2.25 miles of large-diameter pipeline in San Jacinto and Hemet to help convey untreated water to both the Hemet Water Filtration Plant and to increase capacity for EMWD’s groundwater replenishment efforts.

The pipeline will begin at Warren Road and Esplanade Avenue in San Jacinto and travel east to Sanderson Avenue, where it will turn south. It will then turn left on Commonwealth Avenue to Kirby Street.

October 2023 Update: Work will be taking place on Commonwealth Avenue in Hemet, near the Hemet Water Filtration Plant. Commonwealth will be closed between Kirby Street and Tori Drive for approximately two months to allow crews to connect the new pipeline to our water filtration plant. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. during this time.
