Video Contest
At the end of 2020, EMWD launched its first-ever video contest, Pipeline Productions – A Video Contest by EMWD. This contest is for students in grades 9-12 and requires teacher facilitation. The requirements for this contest are aligned with the Common Core Standards.
The winning student(s) will have their video featured on EMWD’s social media channels.

Contest Guidelines
This is a class-based project for students in grades 9-12, requires teacher facilitation, and is aligned with the Common Core Standards. Students may work alone or in groups of no more than three.
Students are encouraged to explore their creativity to create an engaging video for high school-age students.
Students will research and produce an engaging video that includes details identified by EMWD about the chosen theme.
Video requirements:
- 3 minutes maximum.
- Created for an audience of high school-age students.
- Must include a student biography, teacher biography, and student dedication at the end of the video.
- No trademarked or copyrighted artwork or material will be accepted.
- Students can take video outside of EMWD facilities but will not be able to enter the sites.
The published video will be available on EMWD’s YouTube channel, as well as other social media platforms.
Videos and illustrations become the property of EMWD.
Incomplete videos will be disqualified
