Active construction projects in unincorporated regions or
projects that span across multiple cities.  Unincorporated
areas include: French Valley, Good
Hope, Homeland, Lakeview, Mead
Valley, Nuevo, Romoland, Winchester.

Mead Valley Water System Improvements Phase II


Located along Oakwood Street, Carroll Street, Day Street, and Pinewood Street, in the area south of Cajalco Road.

Project Status: Goetz Road backbone sewer line and Subarea 4 sewer system are in design – not yet ready for construction.

Project Description:  The project will install over 3,000 feet of eight inch diameter pipeline that will help improve water pressure for the homes along Oakwood Street, Carroll Street, Day Street, and Pinewood Street, in the area south of Cajalco Road.   The project will see remote water meters relocated to the front of each property, and the new pipeline will connect to the existing water lines in the community of Mead Valley.  Relocation of the meters will increase water pressure and fire flow capacity for the community.

French Valley Recycled Water Gap Pipeline

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is
seeking funding to construct a series of three short pipelines in
French Valley, CA, to connect existing recycled water pipelines
to EMWD’s backbone recycled water system so that the sites may
permanently use recycled water for irrigation purposes.

EMWD is a national leader in recycled water and has invested
heavily in the French Valley area, including expanding recycled
water in streetscapes, parks and schools.

District-Wide Water Booster Plant Improvement Project

 

Project Description: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is
seeking funding support to implement phased improvements of
potable water booster facilities to mitigate the effects of
wildfire and Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events initiated
by Southern California Edison. The improvements include the
installation of emergency standby generators and block walls at
select facilities.

Mead Valley Booster Station Replacement

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is
seeking funding to help advance the construction of the Mead
Valley Booster Station Replacement project, which will provide
improved water supply reliability for the economically
disadvantaged Mead Valley area in unincorporated Riverside
County, CA. 

The booster station will replace an aging facility that was
constructed in 1964 and is nearing the end of its useful
lifespan.
