Show Us Your Best Shot!: EMWD’s First-Ever Photo Contest Highlighting Everyday Water Use
Are you ready to capture how you make every drop count? To celebrate 75 years of serving our communities, we are excited to announce our first-ever photo contest inviting customers to capture and share ways water is used in their daily lives. From the kitchen sink to the backyard garden, “Show Us Your Best Shot!” celebrates the everyday moments that reflect our connection to water and its value in our daily lives.
Celebrating Water in Daily Life
Water impacts nearly every part of our routines—brushing teeth, watering our outdoor space, or running a load of laundry. It is one of our most precious resources, especially in Southern California; and through this photo contest, we want to spotlight the often-overlooked ways water supports our families, health, and quality of life.
Photo Contest Details
The contest is open to all EMWD customers beginning June 12, 2025. The final date to submit will be August 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (PST).
Photo submissions must be original, high-resolution images that reflect the theme of everyday water use. Entries will be judged on relevance to the theme and creativity.
Show Us Your Best Shot! In Three Easy Steps:

- Fill out the required information on the form
- Addresses will be verified to ensure all valid submissions are from EMWD customers
- Submit up to five (5) high-quality photos per residence or business showing what water means in your daily lives by outlining one or more of the following:
- How do you and your loved ones (pets included) interact with water?
- What water-saving devices have made a difference in your home or business?
- How do you conserve water while caring for your water-efficient landscape?
- What does a water-smart lifestyle look like for your household or business?
Help Us Choose a Water-Wise Winner!
Tune in through our Facebook and Instagram (@easternmuni) channels the first week of September to vote for the best shot. One winner will be announced on September 16, 2025 and will receive a water-wise goodie basket (over a $75 value) in addition to being featured on EMWD’s website, social media platforms, and educational materials. Selected participants may also be invited to share a short caption or story about their photo, helping to put a face to the efforts being made throughout our communities.
