EMWD Resumes Bird Tours at San Jacinto Wetlands

Perris, CA (February 1, 2022) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is resuming its popular birding tours this month at its San Jacinto Wetlands facility.

Starting Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, the guided tours will give guests a chance to see some of the more than 120 species of birds that call the Wetlands home throughout the year, including the migratory season.

Reservations are required and will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The tours will take place on the second Saturday in February through April 2022, and again beginning in October 2022. All tours are subject to cancelation in the event of inclement weather.

The San Jacinto Wetlands is located at EMWD’s San Jacinto Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility, 770 N. Sanderson Avenue, San Jacinto, CA. Closed toed walking shoes are required and guests may bring water bottles and viewing devices such as binoculars. Tours begin at 8 a.m. and last approximately two hours.
