EMWD Issues Cancelation of Boil Water Notice for Areas Affected by Fairview Fire in Hemet
Perris, CA (September 8, 2022) — On September 6, 2022, Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) notified residents in approximately 50 homes on Polly Butte Road and the area east of 41477 Gibbel Road in east Hemet, California (see map below) of the need to boil/disinfect all tap water used for drinking and cooking purposes.
EMWD, in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water and the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health, has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, the water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil tap water or to consume bottled water.

Perris, CA (8 de Septiembre de 2022) – El 6 de Septiembre de 2022, Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) notificó a los residentes de aproximadamente 50 hogares por Polly Butte Road y el área este de 41477 Gibbel Road en el este de Hemet, California (consulte el mapa a continuación) de la necesidad de hervir o desinfectar todo el agua de la llave utilizada para beber y cocinar.
EMWD, junto con la Junta Estatal de Control de Recursos de Agua y el Departamento de Salud Ambiental del Condado de Riverside, han determinado tras la supresión del riesgo de salud, seguido por un análisis completo del agua, que puede beber el agua de su llave sin peligro. Ya no es necesario que hierva el agua de su llave ni que consuma agua de botella.
