Perris, CA (November 22, 2022) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) this month debuted a new podcast, The Drop, where EMWD brings the latest information on the water industry right to your ears.

The Drop debuted in mid-November and weekly episodes are planned. EMWD staff and potential guests will discuss a wide range of industry topics, including the drought, water quality, planned programs, infrastructure and much more.

In debuting The Drop, EMWD is believed to be one of the first water agencies in California to have its own podcast.

The episodes are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and online at www.emwd.org/thedrop and will publish weekly on Thursdays.

“As our customers become more mobile, we wanted to provide them with an information source that meets their needs on-the-go,” EMWD Board President Phil Paule said. “EMWD has long been an industry leader and part of that commitment is finding ways to engage our customers. The Drop continues our commitment to finding new and creative ways to educate our customers about their water agency.”

In the debut episode, “Water 101,” EMWD General Manager Joe Mouawad discussed the basics of EMWD’s services and why talking about water is so important. The second episode, “State of Affairs” looks at EMWD’s legislative program and how it benefits our customers.
