Indian Street Pipeline Replacement Project
Project Description: The project consists of replacing an existing water pipeline that is nearing the end of its useable life by installing approximately 1,500 feet of 12-inch pipe along Indian Street in Moreno Valley.
Project Location: The project alignment stretches along Indian Street between Ironwood Avenue and Hemlock Street.
Project Timeline: The project is set to begin construction in early 2023 and is set to finish in the Fall of 2023. Please note that the construction timelines are rough estimates as the industry continues to work through supply chain issues.
Project Purpose: The project will increase water flow and reliability for nearly 8,000 customers in the City of Moreno Valley.
Project Update (as of February 28, 2023):
- Crews have completed nearly 90% of the pipeline installation from the intersection of Indian Street/Hemlock Avenue heading north.
- In the coming weeks, crews anticipate completing pipeline installation and will be working on additional project activities. This work is weather-permitting.
- The additional project activities will be subject to several short-period water shutdowns, which will be completed in coordination with those along Indian Street/Sinaloa Street, and with advance notice.
- Access to Indian Street will be limited to residents only (please be on the lookout for traffic flaggers for proper access).
- Please use alternate routes during this time.
- Final paving will occur at the conclusion of the project.
