Post

Perris, CA (June 24, 2021) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) has released its 2020 Consumer Confidence Report, which provides a science-based overview of EMWD’s drinking water quality and sources from the prior calendar year.

EMWD once again met and surpassed all state and federal drinking water standards as set forth by the State Water Resources Control Board and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The report is issued on or before July 1 each year.

In 2020, EMWD tested for 155 different contaminants and impurities from 31 drinking water sources. EMWD conducted more than 45,000 tests from more than 7,600 samples collected throughout the year.

The annual report is issued electronically and is available online at www.emwd.org/ccr. All customers will receive a postcard informing them about the report. Customers who wish to receive a printed copy may request one by contacting EMWD at 951-928-3777, ext. 3430.

“EMWD is proud to continually deliver a safe and reliable water supply to our nearly 1 million customers,” EMWD Board President Phil Paule said. “We encourage our customers to take the opportunity to learn more about the quality of their drinking water by reading our annual water quality report.”
