Perris, CA (August 4, 2021) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) has been recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), marking the 17th consecutive year that EMWD has earned the distinction.

EMWD received the Certificate of Achievement for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020.

The Government Finance Officers Association is a 21,000-member nonprofit organization for government finance professionals.

“EMWD is committed to being responsible stewards of public funds and doing so in a transparent manner,” EMWD Board President Phil Paule said. “We sincerely appreciate this honor by the GFOA in recognizing those efforts.”
