EMWD Honored With Achievement in Procurement Award

Perris, CA (September 5, 2019) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) was honored for the sixth consecutive year with the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award by the National Procurement Institute.

The award recognizes public agencies that are industry leaders in their processes for purchasing goods and services.

This marks the 10th time EMWD has received the award, including annually since 2014.

National Procurement Institute award for Achievement of Excellence in Procurement.Among the items EMWD is responsible for purchasing procuring are goods, materials, equipment, fuel, fleet vehicles, chemicals, engineering services, service agreements, company uniforms and other professional services. These purchases assist EMWD in providing value to customers by providing safe, reliable, economical and environmentally sustainable water, wastewater and recycled water services.

“We are honored to again be recognized by the National Procurement Institute for our role in being an industry leader in the procurement process,” EMWD President Ron Sullivan said. “Our Purchasing and Contracts team continually demonstrates a commitment toward fiscal responsibility with ratepayer funds to ensure we are procuring services in a cost-efficient manner.”
