Be Sure to Include Reusable Water Bottles in Back-to-School Supplies

Post

EMWD now has water bottle fill stations at more than 75 campuses throughout its service area, allowing students and teachers to easily refill water bottles and stay hydrated throughout the day – at no cost.

The water bottle fill stations are similar to drinking fountains but include an overhead filling system to easily fill reusable water bottles. EMWD actively promotes the use of refillable bottles as part of its commitment to conveying both the quality and value of tap water and environmental stewardship.

The fill stations have resulted in the reduction of more than 1 million plastic bottles being used.

EMWD has water bottle fill stations at campuses in the following school districts: Hemet Unified School District, Temecula Valley Unified School District, San Jacinto Unified School District, Moreno Valley Unified School District, Val Verde Unified School District, Menifee Union School District, Nuview Union School District, Romoland School District, Perris Union High School District, Perris Elementary School District, and Murrieta Valley Unified School District.
