Perris, CA (June 20, 2024) — Eastern Municipal Water District’s (EMWD) commitment to providing a safe and reliable water supply has again been highlighted in its annual Consumer Confidence Report.

EMWD published its annual Water Quality Report this week, providing its customers with science-based information about their water supply and EMWD’s longstanding efforts to deliver a high-quality tap water supply that its customers can be confident in.

EMWD once again surpassed all federal and state water quality standards, as established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the State Water Resources Control Board.

In 2023, EMWD conducted more than 46,000 water quality tests on 34 different drinking water sources. EMWD tested a total of 8,303 water samples for 230 contaminants. The tests are performed at a state certified laboratory, including many at EMWD’s on-site laboratory.

“EMWD is proud to deliver clean and safe drinking water to the nearly 1 million customers we serve,” EMWD Board President Phil Paule said. “We hope that our customers will take the opportunity to read this report and learn more about their tap water quality.”

The report is published electronically and is available online at www.emwd.org/ccr. Customers will receive a postcard informing them about the report. Those who wish to receive a printed copy may request one by contacting EMWD at 951-928-3777, ext. 3430.
