Highway 74 Sewer Project

Highway 74 Sewer Project

EMWD Highway 74 Work Zone

Starting in fall 2025, Eastern Municipal Water District’s (EMWD) contractor will begin installing a sewer line on Highway 74 as part of EMWD’s North Perris Regional Sewer project.

The project will consist of approximately 5,000 feet of sewer line between West Ellis Avenue and Kruse Street, in the City of Perris and unincorporated area of Good Hope. It is funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act, courtesy of the County of Riverside, and is necessary to accommodate future development in the area.

WORKING HOURS: Work will take place on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

PROJECT TIMELINE: Work is scheduled to begin in fall 2025, with anticipated completion in late 2026.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: To ensure the safety of the community, motorists, and our crews, temporary barriers will be set up in the roadway, but will be moved to the center median during non-working hours. There will be lane reductions with alternative lane alignments throughout the project. Motorists can anticipate significant traffic delays on Highway 74.

SAFETY REMINDER: EMWD asks that all motorists use extra caution when traveling on Highway 74 and obey all posted signage, detour routes, closures, and speed limits. The speed limit through the construction zone is reduced. This will ensure the safety of our crews, drivers, and the community.
