Goetz Road Sewer Project

What We Do

Goetz Road Sewer Project

Starting in Summer 2026, EMWD’s contractor will begin installing a sewer line along Goetz Road as part of the Goetz Road Sewer Project.

The project will take place primarily along Goetz Road between Avenida Robles and Rock Canyon Drive in the City of Menifee and will support future infrastructure improvements in Quail Valley. Funding for this project has been provided in full or in part from the EPA Community Grant Program.

WORKING HOURS: Work will take place on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

PROJECT TIMELINE: Work is underway, with anticipated completion in Summer 2027.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: To ensure the safety of the community, motorists, and our crews, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction within active work areas. Temporary lane shifts and alternate lane alignments will be in place, and some turn lanes may be temporarily unavailable. Flaggers, cones, barriers, and other traffic control measures will guide vehicles safely through the area. Bike lanes will be temporarily unavailable in work areas.

Traffic control will be removed after each workday to allow for normal traffic flow outside of working hours; however, k-rail may remain in place to protect equipment and work areas. The community should also anticipate increased noise, dust, and vibration during construction.

SAFETY REMINDER: EMWD asks that all motorists plan for delays, use extra caution when traveling through the construction area, and obey all posted signage, traffic control, and speed limits. This will help ensure the safety of our crews, drivers, and the community.
