The Direct Payment Program allows you to receive a paper water bill and have your payment automatically deducted from your designated checking or savings account by the due date on your bill.

How The Direct Payment Program Works
Enrolling online, or signing and mailing the enrollment form authorizes EMWD to debit your bank account for the amount of your monthly bill. Payment by credit card is available only by signing up online.
You will continue to receive a monthly bill. If you question the charges, you must contact EMWD within five days after the bill date. If not disputed, the amount will automatically be transferred out of your account not less than 15 days after your billing date. If you question the charges after the five-day period, adjustments can be made on your next bill. The debit date on your bill allows for bank holidays.
If there are insufficient funds (NSF) in your account to cover the direct payment or if your credit card is declined, a service charge will be added. The total due must then be covered in cash, cashier check, money order or credit card. After two NSF, this contract is voided.
You may cancel this agreement by calling an EMWD customer service representative at (951) 928-3777 and select option 1, or use the toll-free number: 1-800-426-3693.
