PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is seeking funding to help advance the design and construction of the Cactus II Feeder Pipeline, Phase II, which will support anticipated significant economic development, industrial and residential growth in the eastern portion of Moreno Valley, Calif.

The pipeline will include more than 23,000 linear feet of large-diameter pipeline through a major corridor in Moreno Valley, as well as two turnouts to connect to existing EMWD facilities and help regulate hydraulic pressure.

The eastern portion of Moreno Valley is in the midst of significant growth with planned residential development and industrial centers. To meet the needs of the anticipated development, EMWD must expand its infrastructure to deliver large amounts of water to the eastern portion of the City. 

Phase I of the pipeline was completed in 2023.
