Recycled Water Services

Treating wastewater is critical to public health. It is also an important way to help conserve and preserve our water supplies.

EMWD has a goal to develop a drought proof and sustainable water supply for its customers. Recycled water will play an important role in achieving this goal by offsetting potable water demand historically used for irrigation purposes.

As the recycled water program develops, the main objectives are to:

  • Maximize the beneficial use of recycled water
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Manage strategic objectives

It is EMWD's intent to partner with its stakeholders including:

  • The development community
  • Landscape architects
  • Regional public agencies
  • Regulatory Agencies
  • Maintaining agencies
(entities within EMWD's service area that maintain irrigation systems)
