Construction Lead Time Requirements

Your process will begin with the New Business Development Department to obtain an Application for Service detailing all applicable fees, Financial Participation Charges, and deposit requirements. In order to provide you with an Application for Service the following items will need to be submitted:

• Measurements for connection locations (footage from nearest cross streets). Cross streets used must be visible on plans submitted.

• Onsite Water/Sewer Plans. The plans should show all existing utilities, point of connections, cross streets used for measurements of connection locations, meter sizes, and water and/or sewer service sizes.

• The following completed EMWD Forms:
  - New Service Connection(s) Detail Information Sheet
  - Waste Discharge Application (If applicable)
  - Landscape Irrigation Plan Check Application and Water Budget Agreement
    (If applicable)

Please allow 3 weeks for the Application for Service to be processed. You may call to schedule your preconstruction meeting 6-8 weeks after making the requested payment on the Application for Service. The four to five week period allows:

• New Business to produce and distribute the required documentation to the involved departments;

• Engineering Department to copy drawings onto District files;

• Field Engineering to prepare documentation for Preconstruction meeting.
