Conservation Corner

With a growing population and limited water resources, water conservation has become an integral planning and operational component.

The district was one of the original signatories of the California Urban Water Conservation Council Memorandum of Understanding and is implementing 14 conservation Best Management Practices. Use Water Wisely EMWD ordinance 72.24 brings stricter standards for landscape water use. Rebate Programs Rebate funds - provided through Metropolitan Water District's Water$mart program - have been fully allocated for the remainder of the current fiscal year (ending June 30, 2009), and no further rebate reservations are available at this time.
