EMWD Security Policy & Disclaimer

When a District application accepts credit cards, checks, or any other particularly sensitive information for any of its services, it encrypts all such information, in order to protect its confidentiality.

The EMWD Online Billing System application supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption for transmission of check and credit card data in order to ensure privacy.

Access to Your Information
Unless otherwise required by state or federal law, rule or regulation, or required for the operation of the District's business, no one will be given, or sold, access to your personally identifiable information.

Non District Web Sites
Non-District web sites may be linked through the District's web site. Non-District sites may or may not be subject to the Public Records Act and may or may not be subject to other sections of California Code or federal law. Visitors to such sites are advised to check the privacy statements of such sites and to be cautious about providing personally identifiable information without a clear understanding of how the information will be used.
